Kairos’ specialty is integrating social media into websites built on a WordPress platform. We put Dreamweaver on the shelf after realizing the dynamic functionality of WordPress. Adding styling customizations and building custom sliders that portray the life and work of your organization will produce a robust and colorful website that is interactive, not static.

iconsNot sure you “get” social media and its role in your organization? Kairos is happy to teach you and set up Twitter, Facebook, Flickr, Instagram, Pinterest and whatever else works for your church or organization. All that is required is a willingness to be open to new and effective ways of reaching people.

Lee Ann Walling began building websites after noticing that the front page of her church’s website had not changed for about four years. At the time, she didn’t know a thing about HTML or CSS; she just knew the church needed a new website. So she took classes 75 miles away from home, at the Delaware College of Art and Design, and launched an all-new Dreamweaver site in August 2009. Eventually, she earned certificates in web and graphic design.

In 2012, she removed the old site and replaced it with a Word Press site integrated with Facebook, a blog, Twitter, Flickr and YouTube. That site was replaced with a new, more advanced theme in April 2014. She completed totally new sites for the Downstate Delaware Striders and Riders, www.ddsr.org, and St. Barnabas Episcopal Church in Wilmington, www.stbarnabasde.org. In 2013, a new website for St. James Mill Creek was launched.  West Side Grows Together, a community-building initiative in Wilmington, Delaware, hired Lee Ann to build a new website from scratch.
